This route is a mix of the South Islands and Loreto-La Paz routes starting with the fabulous beaches of Isla Carmen and Isla Danzante, then crossing over to paddle south along the remote coastline to the quaint village of Agua Verde. The small and remote fishing village of Agua Verde is situated in one of the most beautiful and protected bays in the Baja Peninsula. Along the way we will visit an inter-tidal hot spring, and a ranch that has been worked by the same family for hundreds of years. This is an excellent trip for any skill level and gives you a taste of real Baja culture with it's amazing wildlife and geology!

This is a Beginner to Intermediate Expedition, with 3 to 4 hours of paddling each day, camping every night, and optional hikes, snorkels, and other fun activities along the way.

Group sizes vary, but we like to try and keep groups to less then 12 guests with 2 guides.

Approximate trip distance: 45 NM /  80 KM

We choose to run the majority of our trips with our signature and very popular “communally-catered” option. This is our preference because it: allows the entire group to be involved in all aspects of the adventure, fosters an atmosphere similar to being on a trip with a group of friends instead of a tour, and allows us to offer much more affordable kayak trips.

How it works:  Before the trip starts each person in assigned 2-4 meals (depending on trip length and number of participants) to purchase, pack, and prepare meals for the group. Our guides will be there to assist you throughout the process. The day before the trip starts the whole group meets in Loreto and after  introductions and orientation, we all go shopping together. Trip guides will help with menu ideas, assessing quantities, reading labels in Spanish, and sourcing special ingredients.

Our guides are excellent cooks, and when not preparing their meals, they make excellent sous chefs and will be there to assist you with any part of the preparation and cooking of your meals. We provide all the cooking equipment and utensils, as well as dishes and cutlery. All you need is a few of your favorite recipes and a sense of adventure!
