Day 0: Meet & Greet
In the evening you will meet the rest of the group and your guides for a welcome dinner. We will discuss the trip logistics and details, and plan our following day of kayaking.
Note: You will need to arrive in Loreto the day before the start of your trip. Your hotels before / after the kayak trip are not included, but we are happy to help you book one, just ask us :)
Day 1: Kayak to Cononados Island
You will be picked up in the morning and driven out to our kayak launch spot. From here we'll paddle 1.5 to 2 hours across to the amazing Isla Coronados, where camp will be set upon one of the beautiful white sand beaches. Here you can spend the afternoon relaxing, beach-combing, swimming or snorkeling in the turquoise waters. Or go on a nature walk, or hike to the top of the volcanic peak.
Day 2: Blue Whale Day Tour
A local whale guide will meet us at our camp to take us on a tour of the marine park to search for the amazing Blue Whales, visit the Sea Lion colony, view the nesting sea birds, and explore the other islands of the National Park.
After our boat trip we will have time to go for an afternoon paddle or further explorations around this amazing island.
Day 3: Kayak back to Loreto
Following a gourmet beach breakfast we will kayak back to Punta Bajo, just north of Loreto. Once back, you will have the afternoon to explore Loreto at your leisure.
In the evening, assemble for a group dinner to discuss the details for our Grey Whale tour the following day.
Day 4: Grey Whale Tour
In the morning we will drive 2 hours to the lagoons of the Pacific coast where the Grey Whale calving grounds are. This is an amazing experience, as there are so many whales in these lagoons we are certain to see a great show!
Later we'll lunch on local fish tacos before driving back to Loreto. We will meet at one of Loreto's delicious restaurants for a final celebratory dinner.
This trip is designed for active, fun-loving individuals. None of it is dangerous, but some of the kayaking may be strenuous or challenging in windy conditions. We offer single or double kayaks, depending on you skill level and preference.
