Tuesday / Wednesday /Thursday / Friday:
A wide range of kayaking and day activities are possible. SBKA guides will propose kayaking day trips, which can range from gentle afternoon local paddles along interesting and varied shorelines, to more directed day explorations to Blackberry Point, Reid Island, Telegraph Harbour on Thetis Island or more challenging circumnavigations. Many other summer activities are possible including swimming, hiking, beach combing or simply  enjoying the view from the deck. Each week will include our favorite afternoon or evening “Cliff-drift” paddle, along the naturally sculpted and honeycombed cliffs of Valdes Island. Your gulf island experience will be determined by the interests of each guest, group logistics, the influences of the tide, weather, and other practical considerations.

While we encourage a ‘shared-meals’ approach for these four days, where guests are responsible for a limited number of specified meals for the group, arrangements are finalized when tours are booked.

Saturday:
This final day will be planned to provide a day of kayaking with gourmet beach lunch. While specific timing is determined by the tides through Gabriola Pass, your guides will ensure that you are back at our base at the Silva Bay Inn by 4:00 pm.

We are pleased to assist with your arrangements should you choose to extend your stay on Gabriola Island.

Costs:
While costs will vary with specific options, the standard week based on double occupancy is typically $860 plus tax. You can discuss the various options at any time with our office manager.

All options include:
6 days kayaks, gear, guide
2 gourmet lunches
1 special island dinner
1 night at the oceanfront Silva Bay Inn
5 nights at private Gulf Island cottage
