ITINERARY:
Friday evening stay at the Silva Bay Inn
Saturday kayaking the local waters, and evening stay at an outer island cottage
Sunday kayaking and return to Silva Bay
Guests arrive on Gabriola Island for Friday evening at the oceanfront Silva Bay Inn. If the Inn is booked, every effort will be made to secure B&B accommodation. Enjoy the Silva Bay evening from the deck or dinner from the adjacent Silva Bay Bar and Grill, which provides excellent meals and possibilities for local entertainment.
SATURDAY KAYAKING:
In the morning (9:30) our guides will orient you to the area and the day’s kayaking opportunities.
From Silva Bay you will explore several of the Flat Top Islands and enjoy a gourmet beach lunch at one of our many favorite spots. While timing will depend on the tide, we then paddle through Gabriola Pass to Trincomali Channel. The inside waters open to the south where the horizon is filled with the numerous southern Gulf Islands. An easy couple of hours paddling brings you to Ruxton Island.
Enjoy the Saturday “island” dinner and evening at a private Ruxton Island cottage, where the sunsets are long and lovely. A special island meal will be prepared either before or after evening beach and/or deck time.
SUNDAY:
Mornings can be relaxed with options for walks on Ruxton Island trails or an early morning paddle. Departure and route options to Silva Bay are dictated by tides and weather however the interests of guests are always factored into the day. Arrival back in Silva Bay will typically be prior to 4:00 p.m. to allow for departure planning.

Kayaks, all associated safety and paddling gear, two days of paddling
Certified guide(s) (maximum 1 to 5 ratio of guide to client)
Gourmet beach lunches, water and snacks- Saturday & Sunday
Gulf Island dinner Saturday night and hearty breakfast Sunday morning
accommodation at 'private' Ruxton Island cottage
